Congressman Tim Ryan Announced $2 Million for International Chemical Workers Union Which is Headquartered in Akron, Ohio
Akron, Ohio – Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-13) today announced $2,033,268 in federal funds for the International Chemical Workers Union, which is headquartered in Akron, Ohio. These funds will be used for hazardous waste health and safety training.

I’m proud to have the International Chemical Workers Union headquartered here in Akron, Ohio. I will continue to fight for investments for our communities that will help hardworking Americans get the training they need to do their jobs efficiently and effectively,” said Congressman Ryan.
This grant was made possible through the National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) Multi Union National Worker and Worker-Trainer Health and Safety Training Program and be available during the grant budget period from August 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021.
