Congressman Tim Ryan Announces $600,104 for Western Reserve Transit Authority
Warren, OH – Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-13) today announced a $600,104 grant from the US Department of Transportation’s Buses and Bus Facilities Program for the Western Reserve Transit Authority. The grant assists in the financing of buses and bus facilities capital projects, including replacing, rehabilitating, purchasing or leasing buses or related equipment, and rehabilitating, purchasing, constructing, or leasing bus-related facilities.
“Every single day, Northeast Ohioans depend on the Western Reserve Transit Authority to get to where they need to go, whether it’s work, school, or the doctor’s office. These are the kinds of infrastructure investments we need for our communities, and I couldn’t be more pleased that the WRTA has secured this grant. The funding will ensure the WRTA has the very best equipment and facilities, so it can continue to provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for all Ohioans,” said Congressman Ryan.
