This was the first time in history that a Vice President was needed to cast a tiebreaking vote for the confirmation of a Cabinet Secretary. Every Democrat, two Independents, and two Republicans voted against her confirmation.

Fentanyl is a deadly synthetic opioid that is 30 to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. Ohio’s total positive lab tests for fentanyl are four times higher than the next highest state, Pennsylvania.
