Washington, D.C. –Today, Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-17) released this statement on GM’s addition of a 3rd shift at Lordstown and its commitment to build a new car there in mid-2010:

“This news represents the latest positive development for our community and shows that our area is determined to compete nationally and globally. It is a testament to the extraordinarily hard work done by our people in both labor and management at the plant,” said Congressman Ryan. “GM Lordstown will continue to be one of General Motor’s premier auto manufacturing plants, and to have it right here in the Mahoning Valley will yield positive effects for our community for years to come.”
